LiveStrong Bands Benefit from Nike Materials Know-How

I would say that the LiveStrong Bands have definitely benefited from Nike’s know-how of materials, specifically rubber compounds. You would figure that Nike would know something about creating rubber compounds that can last.

I have worn the same band since early May and it shows no serious wear or tear. I very rarely take it off, and have worked a number of races, some in very poor weather, not to mention two hurricanes. Any smudge that may appear on the band is quickly rubbed off, there are no pits or gouges in the rubber either. The only issue is small bits of dirt or sediment that accumulate in the recessed letters of the band. A small bit of water quickly removes any remnants though.

Nike has always made quality gear. In the closet I probably have at least 15 pairs of Nike shoes in various specialties. Unfortunately Nike’s running shoes to not fit properly so I wear Mizuno’s for running. I do have a pair of Nike Air Rift’s which feature the split toe front end, requiring special socks. They are incredibly comfortable and light. They are my preferred shoe for travelling, except that my friends make fun of them.

Hi, i'm a senior in high school and i've seen the livestrong bands all over the place. I believe the livestrong bands are extremely awesome. Coming from me, and I'm assuming everyone else in the school who has one, that means a lot. I think what they're for is amazing, and they should've done something like this a long time ago. My mother had breast cancer, my grandfather died of cancer, my best friend has lymphoma, so on so on. What's more important is that almost everyone in America knows someone too. The only thing i don't know about the band is how they came about, and how do i get one? (besides the internet)
