Bob Bly has started a new blog, from the perspective of a direct marketer.
I want to provide the blogosphere with a view from my side of the fence as a member of another “sphere” – old-fashioned direct marketers who still believe the main purpose of marketing is to get the cash register ringing and not just have “conversations.”
His first post is a good read. He's already getting some feedback.
I personally resist any hard pitch that direct marketers throw my way, but their methods do work on certain segments of the population.
Update: Neville Hobson picked this up as well and references an earlier conversation he had with Bob Bly.
