Yes, I hadn't used the account much because it became a spamagnet. And I never was big on personalization. But here I had a reason to return to Yahoo and what does Yahoo do? It tells me to buzz off. So buzz off, I do. What would it cost Yahoo to keep that account there? Nothing. What does Yahoo gain from killing the account? Nothing. What does Yahoo lose? Me.
Jeff is not alone is his frustration. Last year David Krane had the same issue.
ARE YOU FLIPPIN' KIDDING ME, YAHOO????? So what if I haven't logged in for four months (I'm not even sure that's the case)?! I've filled out your detailed registration profile. You know a lot of information about me. You have my phone number. You have my IM handle. You have an ALTERNATE e-mail address. My wife even worked for you for more than 7 years! Why no warning of any kind that you were going to shut me down??? This line, in particular, throws even more salt in the wound....
I'd like the record to note that this *royally* sucks. Those 200 or so personal e-mails I was keeping with you are going to be missed. Great user experience, guys.
I have the same issue as David. I have had a Yahoo account for years, I mostly use it for web site registrations that I know will lead to spam. But in that account are old web site logins and other items that I would not want deleted.

I had another email adress ionmihaibogdan@yahoo.com and couple of days ago they de-activated ,I was using that adress on a daily base and I had it for years .
Do I have any cance to get it back ?
All my frinds adresses are there and some insurence policy details .
Pls tell me if u know what is happening and if is something to do about it .
