Looks like I'll avoid the Holiday Inn Airport at Buffalo for any future trips. These Dear: Company blogs posts are always interesting to read.
I can't remember who said it, but I think it was Chris Pirillo at Blog Business Summit last year...he said something like, 'it's our obligation as consumers to blog, for too long we've put up with poor service.'
Jeneane telling the Holiday Inn manager about her poor experience does nothing. Jeneane blogging about it will do something.

TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG:
While that seems like a good point for blogging, it's not entirely true. Most people really don't care what bloggers think, but that's not my argument that's just a statement. Just because Joe Complainer didn't like his stay doesn't mean the hotel was at fault. The same bad room to him may be a palace to others. If I told the same joke to 4 people one may find it funny, one may not, one may not get it and one may be offended. This is the heart of my hate for blogs, why should I care what someone I know nothing about thinks? If critics say a movie is good, that doesnt mean anything to me. Because a community college dropout Star Trek enthusiast liked War of the Worlds doesn't mean I'm gonna like it. Blogs allow people with nobody listening to them to be heard, yippee!

Thanks Josh! I sent a link via the feedback form on the hotel site. I really wanted to highlight the two good people--NOT in manager roles--who stood out as much as point out the crappy service that they guarantee to fix 100% on all the signs in the place.

Melanie:
Considering the millions of blogs out there, and the wide variety of interesting people writing in all sorts of styles about all sorts of subjects, have you considered that your hate for blogs might be partly because you're not doing a very good job of searching out ones that appeal to you?
Browsing through a hundred books at the library and declaring that all books are boring may make a person feel good, but it doesn't really reflect the scope of books available at the library. It's just sloppy thinking.
