Could a minority be reached by niche media?
That could make sense, but it isn’t that easy.
Latino population is growing rapidly within the US, but marketers still have some problems to reach them. For some of them, media in Spanish work just fine. But for others, companies need to find relevant media that could deliver their messages.
Especially for second or third generation Latinos, those who don’t speak Spanish any more, there are new media needed. What about blogs?
There are a bunch of blogs in the hood that are written and meant for that segment of the Latino population: Vivirlatino, LatinaLista, LatinoPundit, among others, are doing a terrific job on addressing Latino concerns, on promoting their dreams and explaining their unique vision.
Marketers still have to notice, but once they do, they will be really grateful.

Living in San Antonio makes this a very interesting topic. In addition to my blog, we just started a PRSA San Antonio blog and I plan to link to this article. We need more about this. Thanks.
