I am on Mackinac Island, Michigan staying at the Grand Hotel for a few days to speak at a Society of American Travel Writers conference. The island is truly unique, no cars, very quaint and historic. I've uploaded some initial photos but it was overcast yesterday. I'll be playing tourist most of the day today to get some more shots.

Josh -- When watching out for the bats per Joe Begulla's advice, you should be sure not to forget about what all those horses do as well.
As a native Michigander, I can tell you with some authority that you are there at probably the best time of year.
