Blog consultants are always in an interesting bind. One of the ways you get leads/business is by blogging. If you get too busy then you can’t blog as much and your primary vehicle for leads slows down.
Things have been busy and blogging has been sporadic. I am fortunate that I am able to travel and speak quite a bit. Those engagements generate business, however with more work comes less time to speak.
A delicate balance must be struck.

Hire staff.

Having taken two web operations that started with me and expanded to numerous staff it's always a difficult thing to find the right person with the right skillset.
I have a few folks that help me with select projects, but I like to maintain a high level of interaction with my clients.
The next few months should be very interesting.

I'm having the same problem balancing personal blogging, work, and training. Unfortunately, I can't hire someone to be me :-)

I've got one word for you: outsourcing. That, or you could do some cool splogging thing. That and you should spend less time taking photos of beaches and making the rest of us jealous.

Josh,
A dilemna indeed. If I slow down on blog postings, it gives those I coach a bad example.
Hiring staff really doesn't work, though building a team of free-agnets might. The hardest part for me is finding the right parts.
If I'm coach, find someone to do design, another to do coding, another to develop tools (shopping carts and the like) without going to the old web model that's become passe.
First one to a solution - posts about it - if time allows:-)
