It's Not Always About the Money

One of the local papers in my area featured me for a '5 Questions' segment today (Caution: Massive Head Shot). Not really the greatest headline, Another Way to Profit Off the Web. If you know me, then you know that 'profit' is not my motivation.

Blogging is not about profit, it's about communicating and connecting. If your motivation to blog is profit, you're setting yourself up for failure.

"Small is the new big." I like that.

If your motivation to blog is profit, you're setting yourself up for failure.

Hallelujah!

I guess profit is a great word to put in the headline to get people to read the article, regardless of the stance of the person being interviewed.

Maybe: If your motivation to blog is to profit, you should be setting up websites that are meant to be profitable.
