Earlier this week I posted my camera dilemma. I was attempting to choose between the Canon Rebel XT and the Nikon D70s. Just when I was about to make decision, a friend said, "You know the D80 comes out in a week or two." Sure enough poking around on Engadget turned up some photos and a few specs.
Looks great, but the problem is I was going to buy something this week to photograph and event I am going to the following week. The release date for the D80 is Aug 9th, too late for my event. Ugh.

Why not borrow a camera to get you through your event and wait to get the new D80?

I guess I could, but I can't think of anybody I could borrow a high end camera from. Plus I always feel nervous borrowing an expensive piece of gear.

Hey Josh,
Hope you're having a great summer holding down the fort in Winter Haven.
I got my wife sony the Nikon D70 and she loves it. It's a really cool camera.
Besides...it's the eye...not the camera. Look at all the great work you've done without a high-end camera!
See you in October.
