A week or two ago I noticed that I was approaching 5000 photos on Flickr. I had planned to note which one was the 5000th shot and blog a bit about it. However in the rush of the past week with a number of events in different cities and states, I missed that moment. (For clarification, as of this post I have 5,204 photos on Flickr of which 4,355 are public)

Since I picked up my Nikon D80 the amount of photos I've been taking has increased quite a bit. A while back I even created a special section on my site to highlight my favorite shots.

So to celebrate the 5000th photo I've created a little mash-up of my photos. The photo on the left is a quick self-protrait I shot at the Hammock Beach Resort on Thursday. The image on the right is a mosaic of 500 random shots from my Flickr photo stream courtesy of Mosaickr.
