Yeah there was the meme going around about blogging less. A good friends recently said, "Yeah, I live that meme...no need to post about it." Ha. Well I'm living it as well.
All my friends that work in the space are busy, very busy. We're all damn busy.
I used to blog quite a bit in what could loosely be termed the 'thought leadership' vein....that was commentary on this evolving world of social media. It was great for business development, but then I ended up getting busy, too busy to blog :-)
You also blog about what you're passionate about, and if you can't really tell, one of the things I'm passionate about now is photography. Many recent posts are initiated by a photo I took.
The crux is that I have a readership that probably started reading me because of one reason or another and I don't feel I'm providing them value. What to do.
Compounding things is the planning of BlogOrlando over the next few weeks. Running an event is a bit of a time sink :-)
Hopefully things will be different after the end of September.

I completely understand. I haven't posted since Gnomedex.
It seems that as mainstream business adopts social media, less blogging is going on. I'd love to blog for myself, but I'm getting ready to launch 4 blogs at work in addition to playing with video.
See you at BlogOrlando.
Cheers,
Mark.

Completely empathize with you. I had dinner tonight with an old blogging friend and we talked about how tired we are of "blogs" being this term of wonderment. We can hardly find time to read our favorite blogs, let alone update ours anymore, because we are scanning facebook, checking our Twitter and working like crazy. We reminisced about the old days of Diaryland. Those were the first blogs, where we had our first glimpse at what life was like for someone else just like us, but across the country or around the world. It was so excited to read the daily life of someone in Canada or Sweden! Now, it's all old hat...Now, it's our work!

I'm a big believer in blogging when you have something to say or share.
Blogging for blogging's sake is so... 2001.

I empathize! It's been difficult to write anything worthwhile in my blog since I've begun writing about social media for online zines.
