SPRF/PRCA. that's quite the acronym, it stands for Southern Public Relations Federation and Public Relations Council of Alabama. The group is holding their annual conference over the next three days in Mobile, AL. I'm slated to speak on Tuesday, but I'm heading to Alabama today.
Why early? I plan on sneaking away on Monday afternoon to photograph the USS Alabama and some of the other 'hardware' they have at Battleship Memorial Park.
I may post a few session recaps from the conference as well. We'll see.

Was excited when I read in my feeds this morning (and on twitter) that you are headed to the Gulf Coast. Mobile is my hometown, so I look forward to seeing your pics of the Battleship and hearing your recap of the conference.
Be sure to hit up Wintzell's Oyster House for some Mobile delicacies, fried pickles and raw oysters.

Josh, My 92-year-old mother, two brothers, nieces, nephews and now a great nephew born today -- all living in the area. Yet I've never lived there. It's beautiful and you'll have fun shooting the USS Alabama. When I was in the second or third grade -- back in the early 1960s, children from all over the state saved up pennies to contributed the towing of the battle ship to the Mobile Bay. Each of us received a pass that I hung onto for near 10 years until I finally got to go see it high school.

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your session at the PRCA conference. Sharp and fun. I took away lot of ideas worth sharing. We (at the TV station where I work) need to keep reporting. But we need to talk, too. Not just repurposed material in a different place, but real dialogue that's open and unabashed. I left with a real sense of mission. Thanks for sparking that energy.
